Upload Your Logo

Want your brand front and center on your site? You can upload your WordPress logo in just a few clicks using the built-in Site Identity panel. This guide shows you exactly how, using the NEOVANTAGE theme as an example. If you do not upload a logo, your site name is used instead.

Follow these steps to add your logo through the Customizer:

  1. Log in to your WordPress Administration Panel (Dashboard).
  2. Go to Appearance > Customize > Site Identity.
Upload your WordPress logo in the NEOVANTAGE Site Identity panel
  1. Click Select logo and upload your logo image. Size does not matter much, but for a sharp retina logo, use a larger image (our logo is 80px by 43px).

  1. Set the width for your logo (the default is 300).
  2. Upload your favicon under Site Icon. This should be a 512px by 512px PNG image.

Once you click Publish, your logo and favicon go live across your site.

Logo and Favicon Size Tips

A few quick pointers help your logo look its best. Upload a logo at roughly twice its display size so it stays crisp on high-resolution screens. Use a PNG with a transparent background so the logo blends into your header. For the favicon, always use a square 512px by 512px image, since WordPress crops non-square icons and the result can look off in browser tabs.

Logo Not Showing After Upload

If your logo does not appear after publishing, clear your site and browser cache, since cached pages often show the old header. If the image looks blurry, re-upload a larger version.
